BODY OUTLAWS
This project was a prototype for a new edition of Ophira Edut's “Body Outlaws”, a collection of stories written by women portraying their triumphs and anxieties in the process of regaining ownership over their own bodies.
I redesigned the book and created illustrations for the chapter openings that reflect my own interpretation of the authors and their messages upon reading their stories.
For me, the objective of this project is to encourage the reader to reflect, through the experience of several women, about his or her own experience in society and with their own body (just as it happened while I was reading, redesigning and illustrating it). Thus encouraging the interest in feminism, the process of self-love and new possibilities of thinking in relation to the theme.
